Expands and untars OK on my system here.

There are three zip files in the tar file:

dpw_at_berlioz[boost_1_21_1]-> find . -type f | grep zip
./libs/dir_it/dir_it.zip
./libs/pri_queue/boost-heap-1.0.zip
./libs/smart_ptr/smarttest.zip

A slip of the fingers while packaging, perhaps?
