Try Hoare Monitor. Google shows 3,820 hits.

Thanks for the link, Alexander.

Hoare's and Brinch-Hansen's works on Monitors are among the most famous
computer science papers ever published. It is hard to imagine a quality
threading library not designed to build on their work.
