I have not built boost. I just included the files I needed. A policy that
says anything harder than "configure;make;make install;" is too hard might be
a good idea for y'all, because in many cases that is the reality. As complex
as the auto tools may be, they are the standard and function very well,
especially from a user point of view.
I would do it myself except I don't have the time :-(
