It wasn't, and my mailer/editor policy is not to mess with what I'm
given. You send me a long one-liner, that's what you'll get back. But
I usually try for postings to reformat the paragraph (Esc-% in emacs,
or gqap in vim, to name two editors), and at least with vim, this
preserves the prefix "> " in the reformatting process.. This is how I
did for your quote above (with :set text:width=50).

Moral of the story: we got off-topic :), and I don't use editors which do
not have editor capabilities :) (unfortunately, this includes many
web-based mailers, and certain braindead wysiwig too).
