Ah, I should have tested this on msvc too.
Just commited a fix to test_tools.hpp correcting my stupidity :-((

AFAIK you don't have to export enumerations, at least gcc-4.x visibility 
support treats this as an error.

Which is an obvious mistake. 

Sorry for not testing this on msvc and not waiting for your OK.
