1. AFAIK, all those known & robust libraries already have wrappers
2. This type is more of a theoretical class than something that can compete
against the "big boys". Having an adjustable radix alone is an indication
of that.
3. I always thought that this idea was neat, and always wanted to make such
a class ever since I heard of C++, even though I'm definitely not the first.
