I build (soon-to-be-released) boost 1.34 on HP-UX/ia64 11.23 with
aCC A.06.14 regularly, as part of boost testing.

Are you on ia64 or PA-RISC machine? What does 'aCC -V' say? Can you
switch to boost 1.34?

Thanks,
  Boris
