If you wish to get answers to those concerns and educate yourself about it,
I suggest you (or another champion) ask about them on the cmake users
mailing list. It is very good.

Having answers to share would be a lot better than sharing vague concerns
out of not knowing the answers.

I don't want to engage with such vagueness, but if you decide to write to
the cmake users mailing list, you'll naturally need to answer some of your
own questions in order to ask the right question on the cmake users list.
