Daniel and I are dealing with a real mess that we need help resolving:

As some undetermined point between the 1.35.0 release and now, the
nightly snapshot's documentation build stopped working on my Windows XP
machine. It still runs on Daniel's machine (Linux, IIRC) and on Eric's
Windows machine. This is the script that also builds the release, so if
it is broken, releases are broken.

(Why no one noticed this sooner is a different problem; see ticket
#2150, https://svn.boost.org/trac/boost/ticket/2150)

To work around this, Daniel is having to do the documentation builds,
and then I have to by hand integrate the html into the tarballs. Not nice.

I've tried every suggestion that Daniel, Eric, or I could come up with
to fix the problem. No luck. Notice that I'm not describing the problem
in any detail; that's part of the difficulty. It isn't at all clear what
the problem is other than some of the documentation isn't being built.
The log file contains so many warnings and spurious error messages that
it isn't much help.

It would make troubleshooting doc build configuration *much* easier if
there was a root/doc/test directory with a little Jamfile that built a
very simple confidence test. As simple as possible, but exercising the
entire toolchain. The equivalent of "Hello, world".

If this could be given high priority, it would be very helpful.

Thanks,
