This sounds a Good Idea

 - but I dimly recollect that the toolchain currently only works on a certain old version of some
tools, probably Docbook, and not on more recent versions. Someone will need to understand fully how
this whole toolchain works before changing things as we have invested a lot of Quickbook
documentation on the toolchain.

But indeed worth doing anything that makes it easier to set up and use. IMO the results are well
worth it.
