 I reported this problem on MSVC and boost 1.37.

 I seem to be seeing similar symptoms on gcc 4.2 and boost 1.38. I did not
 find a ticket in the trac that would suggest it is fixed in the latest
 boost so I'm raising this to make sure the issue is tracked.
