It's 'type.set-generated-target-suffix'.

Use the <library-path> property as requirement on the top-level project.

: requirements <library-path> whatever 
;

It's not possible to get this globally, but when configuring toolset you can 
pass additional options:

using gcc : : : <linkflags>-Lfooo ;
