Many people doesn't like "top posted" replies, but you ramble on so much
about irrelevancies that I'm going to answer here anyway.
1) look up MSVCR71.dll in the MSDN help that came with your compiler
2) on the off chance you didn't install it, use the online (the search will
take you to:
http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/default.asp?url=/library/en-us/vclib/html/_crt_c_run.2d.time_libraries.asp
3) read about the /MD option

you'll notice that none of this has to do with either STLport or Boost
