BTW, we'll be able to solve this outstanding bug:

In short, with target alternatives the requirements play two roles:

  - they are used to select one alternative
  - they are also used to affect build properties.

This causes some problems, and we can use new "when" keyword (or some other), 
to indicate properties used for just alternative selection.
