[Boost-build] vc-Link problems in link dlls/import libs

does anyone know what the answer to the problem of vc-Link not
generating
import libraries in the vc8.0 configuration is? I've having this
problem.
I've searched the archives and noticed this has come up before, but I
failed
to find any conclusive answers.

Note: I am only trying to build the boost libraries, not trying to link
an
application against them.
