An example on how to use the compile rule might help. I'm trying to do
it right now but with no success. A simple example as the one for the
<testing.laucher> property would be sufficent.

Yes, someone (me) is using it, or at least he is trying (with not too
much success :( ). And now that I read that "one would get no reporting
of result" I'm a bit depressed. Do you mean no reporting at all, neither
something like
testing.unit-test bin\msvc-7.1\debug\threading-multi\my_test.passed
in the log?
