Thank you.  It was way down in the Google results; I missed it.

Unfortunately, it's a no-op for me.  I get exactly the same error message 
as before, with not a thing changed.

So, given that "--debug-building" is not working, how do I find out what's 
wrong?

I could imagine that it's important that the error is happening in 
"build-project".  If command line flags are not properly passed to a 
subsidiary project, that would explain it, but it would still be a problem.
