Subject: Re: [Boost-build] How to have linker find PDB files?
From: Michael Weber (michael.weber_at_[hidden])

Certainly. Attached is a diff of my current revision relative to the
original Boost 1.36.0 revision.
Since my original post, I made some additional changes:

1. "import xpidl" - you'll probably want to remove that. I added an
xpidl.jam tool to my system, for compiling IDL files for Mozilla's XPCOM
interfaces. I've attached my xpidl.jam too, for your amusement.

2. In order to have the stage rule copy the PDB files, I added them as
artifacts of the archive and link rules. Therefore, I also added a call to
touch the PDB files and generate dummy empty files, for when <debug-store>
is set to "object" or <debug-symbols> is set to "off". This seems a bit
sloppy but I only actually use <debug-store>database, and I do not know how
to declare rules with build artifacts that are conditional on build
settings.

If there are better ways to implement these changes, I'd be happy to see
them.

regards,
Michael
