Hi - I posted last week that I was having trouble building Boost 1.33.1 on Windows XP using Visual Studio .NET. The specific error was "failed to write command file".

I tried again on Saturday, and it appears to have run to completion. (I did see an error about some missed or failed targets, but that was certainly not the same error I was getting previously.) As far as I can tell, the only significant differences between the attempt Saturday morning and the several attempts on Thursday and Friday were that, on Saturday, Outlook was not running and, while I did have a valid LAN connection, I did not have Internet access.

Anyway, I think my issue is resolved. I offer this information hoping it may help identify the original problem. Thank you to those who offered help and suggestions.
