I do not have Visual Studio.  I only have mingw.  Can you make boost-build with mingw?

Related note:
I'm trying to build asio(and it says it needs boost-build), and a few years ago, you could build asio with mingw.

I'm pretty desperate wanting to build asio and I'd be willing to paypal someone who wants to step me through it 30$ or so.  Whoever wants to do this, email me your preferred Instant Messenger.

The download from sourceforge is very out of date
and is best ignored.

It works for me.  Try building from the Visual Studio
Command Prompt.  Also check bootstrap.log (in the
parent directory, oops) to see if there's any more
information about the error.
