What is the proper way of adding a new toolset? I've had some success by patching tools/build/v2/tools/common.jam (the switch on <toolset>) and adding a .jam file for the toolset.

Background: we develop for the HP NonStop platform (NSK, a.k.a. Tandem). There is a cross compiler running on Windows and a native compiler. For the cross compiler I can use the regular b2.exe; for the time being I'm happy to just target the cross compiler,

I searched the archives on gmane and found some mails by a Mark Evans  that tried to support the NSK platform in 2006, but nothing more seems to have happened.
