This is a step I've never taken in all the boost versions I've used. Is this a pre-release step internal to boost?

You won't have to do anything beyond downloading a fresh run.py and being sure to specify --tag=develop or --tag=master (which you may have already done).

Rene Rivera is going to add the workaround to the automatically downloaded tools, hopefully tonight, but your tests should pick that up automatically as they cycle.
