The C run-time library provides extensive debugging support. To use one of
the CRT debug libraries, you must link with /DEBUG and compile with /MDd,
/MLd, /MTd, or /LDd.

Also try to use/copy one of the Visual Studio projects supplied with
library.

Let me know if issue still persist.
