Hi Reece,
 
When I started of with the first example in the documentation I found that
there some issues in compilation. All those issues are due to the two
phase argument lookup problem that I have seen the second time today :-).
 
Once I fixed it I was able to get a clean compile.
 
Attached are the diff of modified files.
1. basic_string_impl.hpp.diff and
2. and fixed_string.hpp.diff
 
The Compiler that I am using is
$ g++ -v
