The file does exist. I'm using the default install path which is C:\Program Files\boost\boost_1_40\. I followed the instructions which were to set the VS project to look for additional headers in this path as well as using not using precompiled headers. As to setting the path I didn't get any instructions on this unless your referring to the additional file paths the compiler should search in.
