I have VS2008 professional on Windows XP professional with boost 1.39.0 installed, really wanted to replace it with 1.42.0. My hard disk now has about 16 GB left. Is there anybody who followed the above link to have successfully installed boost 1.42.0 in an environment like mine (i.e., is the method correct)? What should I do with the /boost directory of about 1.8GB when boost 1.39.0 was built, simply deleting it?
