I'll need to wait for the next release of boost then.  In the mean time, I can hard code my function types for the specific cases I used.  Later on I'll revisit this with the goal of making the code more generic and reusable

The work was started in 1.42, however it is finished in the trunk. Look at the functional docs on the trunk and they exist there and all code there works well.
