thanks for reply.

My test program works well.

#include <stdio.h>
#include "mpi.h"

int main(int argc, char* argv[])
{
  int rank, size;
  MPI_Init(0,0);
  MPI_Comm_size(MPI_COMM_WORLD, &size);
  MPI_Comm_rank(MPI_COMM_WORLD, &rank);
  printf("I am process %d out of total process \n\n ", rank, size );
  MPI_Finalize();
  return 0;
}

What may be the reason for the boost MPI install failure ?

How do you compile this? And do you use the same compiler when building Boost?
