Oh, I did not know about the earlier thread. My code is an instance
method, so it is a sort of assignment operator, and does not produce
temporary results. But those are just details. Why don't we just pick
one version and put it into boost? Whatever form we chose, I for one
find this very useful functionality, and since Mark Borgerding
implemented something similar (or almost identical), it certainly seems
that there is more of us who want this functionality.
