This is an interesting idea, and would complement run-time regular
expression of the kind that regex++ provides.  However I found your example
syntax very hard to read, most people familiar with Perl or Lex may look at
your code and not have a clue what's going on - this may be a side issue
though - I presume that a different front end code generator could be
bolted on to your back-end templates?  Whatever if you want people to look
at this I would suggest you either put it in the vault or post a URL.
