Using boost in other libraries

I am going to become maintainer of an open source library, and would
like to use some of the classes available in boost, but the project's
"owner" doesn't want to have dependence upon other libraries.  So what
would the rules be on mirroring classes from boost in this library?  Is
that allowed?  Full credit would be given and the status would stay
current with boost releases.
