The error message vanishes if you use "-ansi -pedantic".
The "-ansi" flag defines the preprocessor symbol __STRICT_ANSI__ which
is used in gcc's headers to disable LONG_LONG_MAX.
If you know of a way to make "-pedantic" alone work as well (e.g. check
an additional preprocessor symbol), please tell me.
