In some private email from Steve Cleary regarding gcc problems, he
suggested adding a "typedef ios ios_base;" workaround to the gcc section of
config.hpp.
I assume it should go in namespace std.
Would one of you gcc experts please confirm that this is a valid
workaround?
By the way, I see on http://gcc.gnu.org/ that the date for gcc 3.0 has been
pushed back again, now to "first half 2001".
