There are many C++ numerics packages out there, even quite a few with
boost-compatible licenses. I am only beginning to learn about them, but keep
being surprised that there are none which seem to reach Boost standards, at
least for documentation.

The ones I have the best initial impressions of are MTL and Pooma, but I am
probably biased by knowing the authors.

I would appreciate it very much if someone with a better idea of the
state-of-the-art than I would post a quick survey. Actually, the more
opinions, the better.
