I'll have to disagree here. The C++ language is extremely complex, and the
complexity of Boost is a direct result of that. Other languages (I'm
thinking specifically of Python here) manage to be about as powerful and
flexible as C++ while being a lot less complex. The big advantage of C++
over these other languages is that with current compiler technology, C++ is
a lot faster.
