But how easy is it to notice in practice?  Many people may ignor the
warning, others may not see the problem in practice if the linker "happens"
to pick the instantiations from the "right" translation unit.  When I've
time I'll look into this some more, and post a bug report (I've not had
much success from previous bug reports though)...
