jam build system newbie problem

Here's what I get:

gcc-C++-action libs/regex/build/bin/libboost_regex.so/gcc/release/runtime-link-dynamic/shared-linkable-true/cpp_regex_traits.o 
libs/regex/build/../src/cpp_regex_traits.cpp:27:40: boost/regex/regex_traits.hpp: No such file or directory
libs/regex/build/../src/cpp_regex_traits.cpp:29:28: boost/cregex.hpp: No such file or directory

Obviously, what's needed is a -I to tell where to find the boost
headers.  Where do I fix this?
