1_25_0: REGEX on SUN Forte 6.2 in DEBUG causes assertion failure

While trying to hunt down a coredump in my application
I switched the debug-switch on and got the following error output:

What could this causing?
Without debug this cpp file compiles without warnings/errors and works as expected.
