Be a bit cautious; std::make_pair has changed in a Defect Report to pass by
value. See http://std.dkuug.dk/jtc1/sc22/wg21/docs/lwg-defects.html#181

The whole point is to make std::make_pair("a", "b") work.

Or am I misunderstanding your point?
