I managed to build boost under Windows. As a Windows programmer, it
was easy. Now I need to build it under Linux, and the hours are
rolling by without any success. But then, I'm a complete newbie to
Linux.
I managed to build Jam, but now I can't build boost itself. The
output of Jam is riddled with errors like this one:
------------------
MkDir1 status/bin/iter_adaptor_fail_expected1/gcc/debug
:command not found
':File existscreate directory `
mkdir status/bin/iter_adaptor_fail_expected1/gcc/debug
...failed MkDir1 status/bin/iter_adaptor_fail_expected1/gcc/debug ...
...skipped <blah - blah - blah>
-------------------
If it's any help, it's a Debian Linux, and my filesystem is a Windows
one that is mounted under Linux.
Any help (including gratuitous spoon-feeding) is welcome.
