The next rev of MSVC is in limited external Alpha testing now. My guess
(and it is just a guess, based on years of watching Microsoft releases) is
that means we could expect a release within 6 months, but probably not much
less than that. Naturally, they (the MS people) won't give an estimated
release date until a release schedule has been produced and approved. As a
general rule, MS won't quote a release date until 6 weeks before release.
