While playing around with signal the following occured to me:

Every signal is a function object and so can be used as slot. It is desirable
to be able to bind certain arguments of a signal so that it can be used as a
slot with a different signature. Think of a signal hierarchy where each level
adds information to the signal.

IIUC bind cannot be used to do this, as it does not strip of ref or cref from
its first argument.

Did I miss something?

Thomas
