Hi.

I'm writing this on behalf of the ACCU (Association of C and C++ Users)
mentored developer project for "Modern C++ design".

We're currently in the process of setting up a project at SourceForge to
serve as a repository for extensions and examples to be used with the
Loki library (http://sourceforge.net/projects/loki-lib) developed by
Andrei Alexandrescu as a complement to his book "Modern C++ Design".

The project is part of our ongoing (closed to ACCU members) 'mentored
developer project', which is aimed at teaching ourselves the
Alexandrescus book and the Loki library. Worthy extensions and examples
form this project will be incorporated into the Loki library at a later
point.

As I understand, the Loki library may be incorporated into Boost
somewhere down the road, and we need to avoid any possible licensing
trouble to make that possible.

Currently we've had a look at the MIT license, which seems to satisfy
your licensing requirements, but I would like to make sure that we don't
have potential conflicts. The MIT license looks like this:

In particular I'm a bit uncertain if this license satisfies your
requirement:

"Must not require that the license appear with executables or other
binary uses of the library."

If not, are there any of the OSI approved licenses
(http://www.opensource.org/licenses/) that do satisfy the Boost
requirements?

If not, we'd be forced to submit a home-brew license to the people over
at SourceForge, which may extend the time it would take to get our
project approved.
