Neither was I responding to that, and the comment wasn't aimed at you
personally.
I was trying to say that - in general - adding a policy should be a
deliberate design decision, not a way to avoid making a design decision.
It is possible that this specific case could indeed benefit from a thread
exception handling policy, but we still need a rationale.
