In case folks missed it, the change to date_time has been completed.  Over the
past couple of days I have been working on fixing portability issues with 
the latest version of the library.  VC7 and various versions of gcc are 
working.  MSVC6 and Borland are getting there.  I still have to wrap up
and check in the latest doc changes.
