G++3.1 is right, but only if you have installed the developer-tools for
OS10.2 which are available right now only on CD from apple and will later
be made available for free download.

With MacOS X 10.0.x and 10.1.x the compiler was a derivative of g++
2.95.2. With 10.2 I think the compiler has been updated to a derivative of
a beta release of g++ 3.1.
