It didn't contain a _virus_ (or trojan horse, etc.) but it did contain a
JavaScript that would add the sender's address to your address book, _if_
you pressed a button. It was, in other words, a feature, to make it easier
to add the sender to your address book, and thus was benign.

I think OP's point was to alert us to the fact that although this one was
benign (it wouldn't do anything unless you pressed the button), it's easy to
imagine JavaScripts that are _not_ benign, and that does things without
consent.
