[boost] boost.python

how can i dealing a function which returns a raw pointer? 
for example: int * Foo (A_Class);

i have tried return_value_policy(reference_existing_object) or return_value_policy(manage_new_object) but it doesnt work.it seem's that it only accept a pointer of a C++ class like Foo* or Foo&.
