mostly better.
1) the date-time rebuilt and ran it's tests while building boost (and 
scrolled a TON of stuff onto my console... are we supposed to be getting 
tests run when simply building?) so I'll have to run the build again to 
find out where the:
...failed updating 16 targets...
...skipped 21 targets...
...updated 118 targets...
came from.... standby
