Borland doesn't like boolean expressions that involve a safe bool.
shared_ptr::operator! is an implementation detail; it is not needed on a
Boost list run by bdawes at acm.org, gregod at cs.rpi.edu, cpdaniel at pacbell.net, john at johnmaddock.co.uk
